Founded and
fermented in Philly
Once upon a time, there was a young woman in the big city who longed to enjoy an adult beverage that tasted delicious but didn’t leave her feeling bloated and full.
While visiting her home in the suburbs, she sampled a delightful concoction her parents had brought back from a trip to the countryside. “What is this flavorful elixir?” she asked. “Mead” her parents answered.
She sought out places where she could find mead nearby that tasted as good and was friendly to her bohemian budget. Finding none, she set out to make mead for people like her. Mermead was born.

What is Mead?
As the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage, mead is a simple recipe of honey, water, and yeast. It is naturally gluten-free, and since it requires no grain or heat to make, it is one of the most eco-friendly drinks on earth.
Mead has been enjoyed by cultures everywhere since the dawn of humanity. It can be flavored in a variety of ways which makes it both versatile and delicious.
